Just wanted to let you all know that the texture/character set Papu and I have been working on is ready now and it's available at The Attic. Original texture is by Staale, Vicki conversion by Papu and me. Also included is a transparency map for the eyebrows so you can change the colour of the brows to match the hair colour. Enjoy :) - Eowyn & PapuPapu posted Mon, 11 February 2002 at 11:31 AM
I must say, Eowyn, that you did most of the work here.... :) (and Staale of course!) P.

Wow! Let me re-iterate... Wow! A question - did you hand-paint the difference (I know you used Staale's Vickybuster as a base), or did you use photographs to add to it? I'm in the middle of a Vicky texture now (from scratch), and have been hand-painting it all this time (body is nearly done - head is next), and I was curious as to how one went about such a thing in a relatively short time. /P

I didn't use Vickybuster as the base - I used the texture which Staale gave out for free in December (P4NG5V5). The stomach/chest area of the "no tanlines" version is from another Staale texture, can't remember which one but Cathlyn (available at The Attic as well) is its Vicki conversion. The only handpainting I did was to smoothen some places up a bit, fix the seams etc. I (and Papu too) also used the clone stamp tool a lot when we were converting the texture. Oh and the eyebrows/lashes transmap was handpainted :)

I think you'r nuts to just give it away, but thanks!!!

...well "nuts" is a tad mercenary. I think most of us feel that you are kind and generous to share your excellent work. Much in the continuing spirit with which Staale shared his original maps with the community. Thanks once again Eowyn.

I might be nuts too ;)
