As far as I can tell any graphics program that can send a copy to the clipboard. You may also find the earlier thread of interest. In it I have posted a screenshot of it being used with Photoshop.... I am more impressed with the way it was put together and it's capabilities.
You can do things with UVMP that you can't do with any other program. IMVHO

Bought it. Steve it is great!
It is a superb program and I can't wait to get my new system built which will have a dual monitor graphics card. Paint program running on one screen and full screen 3D preview running on the other (and then add the right click zoom ability and this rivals much of what Deep Paint can do, but in a far more user-friendly way).
BTW has anyone tried this with dual monitors yet?
Another question, Steve shows in his tutorials how to create an action in PS to update the 3D preview by just pressing F2 or any other nominated key.
Is there a way of doing similar with PSP 7?
Thanks
STORM
... do it.
While you are in PSP just do this ...
(with NO area selected)
[menu] "Edit" (click) ----> "Copy" (click)
This copies the entire pic to the clipboard and then UVMP gets updated from the clipboard automatically.
Only two mouse clicks. It's fantastic!
Note: for this feature to work,
while in UVMP ... do this ...
[menu] "View" (click) ---> "Auto Update" (click)
Now "Auto Udate" will have a check next to it. (.i.e., it's active)
You only have to do this once to turn it on.

Thanks geep Works fine. Here is an obvious but easily overlooked trick for working with layers and the 3D preview. If you update the Model only the current layer wil be selected so you have to merge to preview all layers on the Model. Do this but then back in PSP just undo the merges and back to workflow. STORM
OK, this is probably a dumb question, but I don't know anything about PSP, and I've only just learned about UVMP, so... the method you just described for PSP, is that a way of getting around the "actions" macro-recording thing, or do you still need that, too? Does PSP have that? See, I'm working with Photoshop 5.0 LE, which DOESN'T have that feature, so I'm wondering if I can do this 3D viewing thing or not. I downloaded the UVMP demo, but that doesn't allow this previewing business anyway, so I can't even try it myself and see, and I don't want to buy UVMP until I can use this feature. So what's the deal? Am I going to have to buy PSP (the full Photoshop is beyond my finances, I'm afraid)? Or can I manage with my sad, pathetic little Photoshopling?
When UVMapperPro (UVMP) is set to "Auto Update" mode ...
UVMP does not care which "paint" program you used to produce the "picture." (i.e., "... use any 2D paint pgm.")
When the data on the clipboard changes, UVMP senses this and updates itself. It couldn't be much simpler that that, could it?
You just use whatever command (or menu item) in the paint program you are using to copy your pic to the clipboard and the rest happens automatically.
Thanks, Steve Cox, for including this completely "user friendly" function in UVMP.

Since the demo doesn't let you try 3D preview, Id' like to know what programs besides Photoshop that people have found that it also works with. Corel? Photoimpact 6 or 7? Painter 5 or 6? Thanks, Norb
