I now have all the DAZ people and no longer use any of the P4 people. Do I dare delete them????

No, you back them up onto something just in case.....

Does he have to back them up, isn't it on the installation disk? Sharen

If you have the space and know where everything is, maybe you should just keep them there....I never use them, but they are there just in case I only need outside proportions to deal with in creating other models, so that some people who don't have all the mills and still use Poser 4 people, will have accurate models for those Poser 4 people....Sharen

I was wondering about that.

Well, I have the Vicki P4, Michael P4 ( which I never use much less the P4 male.) My system is a 1.3 GH with 60 gig hard drive and 640 RAM. So as of now I don't think that's the problem. Just a lot of clutter and stuff.

I deleted mine last week, desperately trying to pare down my Runtime folder size! Mike P4 and Vicki P4 are all that remain, oh, and my favorite "monster" characters from Morphworld. ~judith~ still searching for disk space

I just got a 60 gb hard drive today, no more worrying about my Poser directory filling up the whole hd :D dances around happily I've deleted most of the P4 stuff too, all the casual dudes and dudettes, I didn't actually leave anything but Posette and Dork - just in case... although I never use them.

If the issue is clutter in your libraries, why don't you just make another folder for these things and move them there so they don't show up in your library anymore. That way if you suddenly need them you don't have to reinstall anything.
kayjay97 posted Thu, 14 February 2002 at 8:29 PM
That's a good idea scifiguy. Someone told me that the bigger the libraries get the longer it takes to render regardless of your hard drive space so i figure if I get them moved out it will make rendering easier
