Hello, I thought I would pop in over here to ask a photoshop question. I have photoshop 6.0 where I work and we just bought a clipart collection. The problem is that all the vector art is in wmf format. Anyone have any ideals for me? We cant take back the clipart. Last year we had the mac version and it had eps but it was a pain b/c of the fileformat differences on the cdrom. I thought we would be better off with the windows version but If I cant open the files, then whats the point?

.WMF Windows Metafile
.EPS Encapsulated PostScript
Both of these can be opened by Adobe Photoshop 6 using File - Open
If you are using a Mac then I can't be sure. I have yet to even touch one.

wmf should be fine. The cool thing with those types of files is that you can open them in some 3d programs too, but all you get is the shape to mess with. wmf should open fine. If yer working with a mac, then I dunno, but even then...

So what is the problem with my machine? It keeps saying that wmf is not a valid format. I think my photoshop is screwy b/c I see some other files that I thought it could open are not opening. Maybe I have to call adobe? It takes forever to register that stupid product.

give it a shot on awindowsmachine if yer using a mac. Also, u might try opening it in other proggies like Freehand or such. wmf isnt that archaic or anything. Im surprised PS won't open'em, andit won't have anything to do with registering. Adobe might haveforums or something, post there and u might get an answer directly from them.
