I have the poser factory babes, several others and Eve by Anduino. Is there any reason to get Vicki then? Does she have more dials for changing her looks then say Eve? I've been thinking of buying her, but unless she has more to offer, I can't see spending the money on her. I'd appreciate hearing what other Vicki owners have to say about her. [Tim]

Hi, Tim; There's been 3 or 4 almost identical posts asking such things about both Vic & Michael in the last day or two. Browse back a bit in the forum & you'll see a number of opinions (in brief; YES, GET HER, AND WHILE YOU'RE AT IT GET MICHAEL, TOO). You can get a good idea of her capabilities for yourself from the links on the DAZ3D product page.melanie posted Mon, 18 February 2002 at 8:38 PM
Oh, believe me, she's a lot more realistic than any of the other characters. She definitely has a lot more going for her. Posette looks like a plastic mannequin by comparison. Vicki is so much more versatile. You can make almost any character with her. Vicky and Michael are the only figures I ever use anymore. I never touch the others. By all means, get her. Melanie

The face on the P4 male is hideous! If you want a semi-Human looking guy, Mike is the way to go. If you want realistic ethnic faces, a wider range of body types, etc. then you need to get Vicki and Mike. Yes, they cost money, and you have to get them clothes (or use the VickiP4 combo and MikeP4 combo available with Vicki2 and Mike2 - but you'll lose the great body morphs) but they are sooo worth the money! There was a thread a week or so back where someone who got Vicki and Mike wondered if there was any reason at all the keep P4 Male and P4 Female. A lot of people responded to the thread stating that they had no need for the Poser defaults any more now that they had those figures. BTW, Ron, the showing of P4 Male and Female vs. Mike and Vicki is a great idea, but it would be more fair to not use textures on any of them and use the same (or close to the same) poses for a more accurate comparison.

Believe me I don't wish to argue. However I don't want to "cheapen" Victoria and Mike by taking away their skin and textures. These pictures were actually a part of a "Poser Characters" section I'll put in my web site. It's not strictly speaking a comparison.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. She's way more morphy, much better articulated, prettier (IMHO), and so much fun to work with. If you buy her, you won't regret it from the first time yuo load her up. You can get much more extreme poses to look realistic with Vicky, and there's more Freestuff available for her than the amount at which you could shake a stick (not our sentences with prepositions to be ending). And if you can afford it do get Mike 2 while he's still on sale! He's my favourite Poser thing ever, and you'll get the Mystery Model too when it finally comes out.

I would definitely recommend getting both Victoria and Michael: however, I would go for version 2 for both of them. You're getting a lot more for your money. Plus, the Mike2P4 and Vicky2P4 characters are great investments: finally, you can use Mike and Vicky with the wealth of P4 clothing. Plus, most of the new facial and body morphs coming out are designed for the newer figures. Poor Posette and Dork are quickly becoming extinct. Having said that, however, I will never ever ever give up Posette, because she's just too dang cute. Dork has been gone for months now.
