For those of you who haven't seen it, here's an interesting bit of trivia that's been floating around: At 8:02 PM on February 20, 2002 a historic moment in time will occur. For that minute, something will happen that has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again. As the clock ticks over from 8:01 PM on Wednesday, February 20, time to the minute will read in perfect symmetry: 2002, 2002, 2002. To be more precise, 20:02, 20/02, 2002 (8:01 PM on a 24 hour clock, DD/MM, YYYY). This alignment has only happened once before, and will never happen again. The last time this happened was long before the days of clocks as we know them. It was 10:01 AM on January 10, 1001 (10:01, 10/01, 1001). And because our clocks only go up to 23:59, this is something that will never happen again! REMEMBER WHERE YOU ARE WHEN IT PASSES

Thanks Jackson:-). That's very interesting and I will be amused to put my alarm on few minutes before, not to miss it. Guitta

My wife got this in California as an attachment to an email from her brother in Virginia. She then forwarded it to me here in Ohio. See...it's been "floating around." Today's the 20th? Where's that?

A time/date alignment where all three sets of figures are symmetrical will happen again. You just have to wait 110 years! :) 21:12 21/12 2112 9:12pm on December 12th in 2112.

There are two more "mirror dates" coming up this year if you treat the whole string to be mirrored instead of splitting into three groups: e.g. 20:02 11/11 2002 20:02 21/12 2002 then 21:02 10/01 2012 21:02 11/11 2012 21:02 21/12 2012 22:02 10/01 2022 etc. - Mark
