I'm trying to do a city picture with shipping technology around the late rennaisance... But I'm having some problems with the dock.. I have a general idea what it should look like but does anyone know where I may find some source pictures or drawings or anything else to show me what it should look like? Thanks, Anzan

Here's the basic "outline" of what I'm doing (water added for ease of seeing)

If they are stone quays just use a stone or concrete texture. If they are wood you can always modify a wood plank texture to scale.

Thank you... I'm not really worried about the texturing at this point... more the actual shape and form.

A general search of the web should land you a few pics (try a google search of "rennaisance cities") or some such. Also, keep in mind that ships of the day had to either sail into port or be tugged by rowboats, so most piers and quays were either strait or parallel to the shoreline.
