I still cannot view many of the images posted by members. When I go to a message that is supposed to have an image a Renderosity logo appears in place of the image. Comments by other members on the page indicates they see something (Does the emporer have clothes?). Prior to December 22 (before I left on vacation) everything was working fine. I am using IE5 on a Gateway PIII 450, 96 MB RAM, with W98. What might cause the Renderosity image to replace the image submitted by the member? Any idea how I can fix this problem? Is anyone else having this problem?

Do you have any special programs filtering your browser? Use a straight version of Netscape or Explorer and you shouldn't have any problems.

If you are using any products that disable the HTTP_REFERER, they will not show up.

My roommate has the same problem and it has only happened recently. I message her throughout the day and sometimes link to an image here for her to see as to the things I'm learning about 3d art. Now I have to refer to the whole page. Is this a bandwidth issue? Because of what happened with some postings at PFO? I can understand if it is, you do have to cover bandwidth costs ... I'd just like to be aware of it. I'd assumed (Lord help me when I do that) that you were protecting your bandwidth. Boni

As far as I know I have no special programs filtering my browser. What sort of programs might these be? I am using IE 5.00.2614.3500. How can I check on the status of HTTP_REFERER?

BAM: Unfortunately, I have to admitt ignorance about how to check and see the status of the HTTP_REFERER, I will try to find out for you there... or maybe JeffH or Fur can answer you. Sorry :o( Boni: Yes. This was done to protect our bandwith. It was the only solution we had to end third party links being posted other place, not just on other forums, but on some personal websites as well. I didn't want to have to go this route and asked people if they could correct it, some of them did, while some may not of understood how to change it or fix it, so we had to come up with a way to bring an end to it. Sorry. Jack

hea, no need to appologize, I just suggested that she register with Renderosity so she can just come to the site. I think that is what BAM was refering to originally. We all have to protect our sites. Take care. Boni

okay... this thing hit me today. it's only on SOME messages. i have netscape... um... 4.something. 5. 4.5. this is not fun. :/

Boni - I don't think my problem is third party link related. I'm on the forum and am trying to access messages with images that are on the forum. Bloodsong - yes it is on only some messages that also contain images, although it does seem like most. JDK, JeffH, or Fur - do you need a listing of some of the messages I can't access?
