I was just playing with a texture idea .. something to go more painterly rather than more photographic ... Kind of a work in progress .. 
Can't really see it that well on the jpeg though ...

Looks good to me. I would turn off shadow-casting on the hair for a nicer effect though. -JH.

Yeah I hate that shadow stuff .. I normally render in Bryce but this is just a temporary thing ..

Thanks Allerleirauh andJeff ... Allerleirauh .... what kind of shadow map do you render with? I set this to 600 instead of the 256 but was still getting the jaggies. I also lowered them to .5 from 1 to try to help but they are still there ...Thanks

Here is a shadow free one and one that is bigger to maybe see the effect more ... sorry for the download time ..
