I just saw that the February challenge goes until about mid-March, so I'm thinking of trying my hand at something magical or mystical. So I've started a couple of models. Now I am curious if I make a model that has several parts, can I assign the different parts different procedural textures In Vue? Part of my scene will be some large candle sticks. They are one model, but each is made of three parts; pole, sconce, and candle. I would like to assign the pole a wood texture, the sconce a brass texture and the candle... I'll work on that. Can I do that for the wood and metal parts in Vue, or would I be better off just painting a texture with PaintShop Pro? The reason I hope to do it in Vue is that I've never had much luck with metals in PSP, and was hoping to get a nice shinny brass from a Vue procedural. Suggestions welcome. jon
