4th shot, and final model tweak...now all that's left is to export and render!

That's very cool. I like abstract coily things. Been doing a lot of them in Spiralizer, but of course they're heavy on the polygons. Am just starting out with Bryce and hope to get into some serious modeling soon. What app are you working with? Do you have your final render uploaded anywhere?

Ooops. Never mind answering my questions. I'm new enough to Renderosity that I keep forgetting to go to the artists' galleries. Have been noodling around in yours, and I very much like your body of work.

Yeah...I use Rhino to do the modelling...mostly, it's just an exercise in patience, because when working with these curves all in such tight space, they like to run into each other. But basically, I use splines to draw the basic shape, then I use Rhino's pipe tool to create the spiky ends. Last, I use the blend surface tool to smooth out any joints between curves in my model, convert to a mesh, and export into bryce.
