Well it is now just a little after 12:00 PM Utah time and there are 6 of us still here at DAZ working on the mystery model. I was surprised to see how fast people picked up on the Ms. Trie poster showing the image of Stephanie and linking it back to the Mystery model.
At this point and time I still can neither deny nor confirm that Stephanie is the Mystery model. What I can say is that if Stephanie were the Mystery model, she would be a model that was created as a morph target from Michael. Not that I am admitting anything, but if this were the case then we would also use a different hip group so that we could remove any unwanted Male geometry. Now, again supposing that we were to embark on such an ambitious project, then this so called Mystery model would absolutely have to fit Victory clothing but at the same time would need to have some additional body morphs to give her a different nude body than Victoria.
One might ask, Why would DAZ do something like this? We already have Victoria, why would we need another woman model? Why not spend our valuable time modeling something else like more clothing items for Michael? To that I would say, while not admitting anything, that DAZ is trying to expand the Michael market by giving people more reasons to get him. Therefore the more people who have Michael the more incentive there is for developers (like DAZ and others) to develop for him. Therefore in the long run there will be more products available for Michael at great places like Renderosity, 3D Commune, DAZ3D etc. If you are not buying any of this then I would have to mention one more thing: the fun factor. We enjoy doing challenging and innovative things.
Now that I have told you absolutely nothing, there is something that I can tell you. We hope we are getting really close now. This project has ballooned out much more than we ever imagined. We will have some new images for the Mystery model available within the next few days. We will most likely render some of them using Pro-Pack and Lightwave so that we can have facial images without the glowing nostrils and some other rendering actifacts commonly seen in Poser renders.
Sincerely,
Dan Farr
