Hey, I was going over some of my old RDS CD and I totally forgot about the Painter 3D app - anyone been able to use this sucessfully?

I've usee it a few times (the full version, not SE) and it's a fairly good app. I do find it easier to work with UVMapper though, at least to create the original texture map and obj to bring into Painter3D. The nice thing is being able to create sections of your work on "floaters" and being able to nudge them into place.

I thought that bloodsong had some info on Painter3D at http://www.3dmenagerie.com/ but I just looked and can't find it. You might look in the Poser forum for the thread, or try to contact bloodsong. She is at Renderosity almost every day.

Fractal Design eh. I bought it when Metacreation owned it. I remember Metacreations included painter3D with RDS 5.0 and extensions. I downloaded all of it and bought serial numbers for the extensions. I lost all of the files except CD and the serial numbers. I need those essential files, any idea where I can get it? Waldoo

There are a couple Yahoo list-groups with some of the updaters & extensions in the "files" sections for the respective groupes. You need to join the lists to get access. I havn't checked there for quite some time as I lost my password & login info. Might be worthwhile to check it out.
