Does anyone know if any books are planned to come out for Vue 4? Also, does anyone know of any tutorials about faking radiosity in Vue? Thanks, Chris

I don't think there are any books for Vue planned, but I would recommend Digital Lighting and Rendering by Jeremy Birn. It covers everything from lighting to composition with techniques that can be applied in any rendering software. Read about it here: http://www.3drender.com/light/chapter1.html As far as faking radiosity, I've been experimenting with the lightdome in freestuff (see the link for my results so far) but it needs some more work. I am also interested in faking radiosity. Think we need more studies in that field ; for instance, we could try to use only indirect light (for example spot lights hiting plate target covered by a picture, light ray being redirected on the object viewed by the camera). Another point, if using direct light, is to use only soften light. Also add blured reflection on all the object (10, even with very low level of reflection). But all this is experimental , and maybe depend on the scene we create... Yves

Looked at prices and shipping rates to Holland. Amazon US $35+$9 shipping, no import duties on books Amazon UK $57+$6 shipping Amazon Germany $61+$4 shipping Local bookstore $54 Amazing the price difference between the Amazon stores, taxes on books are similar in EEC countries.
