I see this: "Sorry, Poser Store is closed for routine maintenance. We will open again shortly! Thank you for your patience." -Daz 3d NO NO NO NO NO NO! I EVEN GOT MY CREDIT CARD OUT! DAMMIT! Ugh, the 'net is turning out to be crap this morning :)

I got Mike 2.0 and Stephanie all in one go. OTOH, Steph didn't exactly come for free... I had to pay $1.98 in sales tax (DAZ is in Utah, I live in Utah, shrug... first time I paid sales tax on any Internet transaction...) In spite of it all, my initial impression is, that they're both well worth the cash :) /P

You think thats bad. I got some MIDI files from a company in the U.S.A. I downloaded them without problem. When I get the invoice I have to pay the U.K.s 17% VAT because they invoiced me from their U.K. office, which I didn`t even know existed. Needless to say they got no more orders, at either branch. I did see that DAZ notice, I found it odd that they did it on Friday just after uploading the weeks new stuff, but it turned out to be Stephanie. At least you got your stuff, God bless downloadable items B)

Heh heh.. should have let me known you were gonna be in Vegas, Peng :grins: I coulda bought you a dollar shrimp cocktail. :grins: Anz

Hehe - Worry not, Anz - I live a mere 6 hours' drive north of you; I'll prolly be driving down a whole lot more before the year is out (Example: Networld+Interop conference, May 7-9th.) Usually I stay up in Mesquite, and drive down to Vegas. Yeah, it's 90 miles (roughly an hour's drive), but the school will pay me for mileage next time, and hotel rates are waaaaay less expensive. I'll give a shout before I come down next. Routledge - dude, I feel for you. The VAT can be a mother... a buddy of mine near London got smacked with it because I had neglected to write "Gift" on the outside of the copy of Win XP I was sending him from here (I detest XP, and it came with my laptop... bleah.) /P

Penguinisto Where in Utah do you live? I used to live in Heber City. Ron

I live in Layton, just south of Hill AFB/Ogden. My school is in Kaysville, a bit further south, towards Farmington and Centerville. By the By, DAZ Inc. is in Draper, just south of SLC. What did you do for a living way out in Heber that doesn't involve farming or ranching? :)

Yep been where your at. I visited Daz last year. For the most part my income comes from commercial properties. I will be back there some day. Probably Kanab or Moab. Ron

Hey Pen, you're almost neighbors with 2 of my great aunts (90 and 86 respectively and still live my themselves since their husbands have died). They live in Clearfield just across the freeway from Hill by the high school... Their maiden names are Layton if that tells you how long they have been around there. Ed
