But I am not sure if I will post it unless I get a bit of feedback on it, It has10x the amount of verticies that the 1st one had and there for takes just short of eternity to render(about 3 minutes or so with one character) Here is an image of the guitar. The Zipped file with texture and map is 2.8mb. The pp2 file unzipped is 12mb.

I liked the first one! Any way to make the floyed rose tremolo posable?
odeathoflife posted Tue, 12 March 2002 at 2:00 AM
as it is now it is not poseable, but it wouldn't bee to hard to do.

I like it and size is no problem. Tell me the strings can be rendered to nickle color yes/no unless your using cat gut. Tashar 59

Its looking good! The first one was great, this is much better. One suggestion/question. Have you tried reflection maps on anything? They can really add something to metal and shiny surfaces. A chrome one on the Floyd Rose and tuning pegs might look good (The picture
s a bit small to tell if it already has one). Also if the edges or body face are curved a bright white highlight sized at about 5 to 20% will give a plastic or gloss paint look to it without any real rendering time increase. Great work B)

Hi O, I was just admiring your animated GIFs of your guitar poses in freestuff - very realistic hand and finger posing.

Corvette: Thanks, the Floyd Rose has more polys than the rest of the guitar, Thats where all the render tiime comes from. berlyd: I do not know what happened in the export from max to the import to poser but the strings material is not there. I may have inadvertantly used the same map on two sections. I am looking into it however. Routledge: It is all one prop (no sections for different textures) so no the reflect maps cannot be applied (as is, if I make the tremolo poseable than it will be possible)

thanks gryffnn, I have been playing the guitar about 14 years (since I was 12) and that is actually how I make the cords. I am working on more now, with strumming and more cords (this time for the p4 dork, and the new Ibanez)
