Ok, I know how to use bump maps on my figures, but is there a way to create a bump map of a rendered (or pre-rendrered) scene? Whereas a figure, or group of figures, is rendered not based on lighting effects, but on positioning within the ground field. I'd prefer a smooth gradient from front (white) to back (black), but would settle for a staggered, contour map effect as well. The only alternative I've figgured is using a flat plain perpendicular to to the ground plain that Is incrementally moved backwards, exposing more of the figure. Each of these renders would then have to be overlayed in photoshop to create the desired effect. Is there a simpler way that I'm just missing? How About in a different rendering program? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, KierPhelan Joel B. Talacko
