I got 50!! e-mails right now from Renderosity, all the same, sending me my password. I never did ask for it, because I know it. How did this happen? Guitta

That happened to me too, Guitta, only I only got 20 or so. I don't know what it was. Server hiccup?

Giutta, it was a script someone was running to try to match passwords for email lists or something like that. The guy who did it has been banned and IP blocked.

Got 11 , so much for Renderosity security hmmmm, a ban or IP block means nothing, I use 6 or 7 free providers each with their own IP set aka I could create a number of ID's here each with their own IP depending which ISP I use and from which location I use it.

I got 6. Hopefully no passwords actually got nabbed and we all just got our own as a side effect of the attempt. Turn the B****** into the FBI. jon

Here's the real scoop on it, straight from the owner. They were going after email addresses, actually, not passwords. Sorry, didn't mean to worry anyone. :(

My family name starts with a B, maybe that's why i was "rewarded" so high (in reallity 51 mails). Wish thas was $ they sent to me or better :-) Guitta
