I just bought Monster Parts 2 from Daz and they gave me a .sit file, even tho I declared I run Windows. Ok, no problem, I have Stuffit Expander. Except when I run it, I get no options to do anything and all I get is a folder inside my Zips (where I keep all unopened files) directory with the userguide, a txt file and a file that says Monster Parts 2 Install but has no extension. No MP2's come up in Poser, I've ran searches and scanned by hand and eye through the vast directories of poser, but no Bug legs, no antennae anywhere to be seen. I'd write DAZ but it's the weekend and I won't hear from them for a while. Can someone please help me use Stuffit Expander and get my Monster Parts out, or tell me where they went to? Thank you, Lhiannan

You have to contact DAZ and ask for a replacement link, because they use "real" installers for their files (not just simple self-extracting archives). Your "Monster Parts 2 Install" can only be executed on a Mac. Sorry for that, but I'm sure DAZ will work it out for you - they are a very friendly and helpful company.

They should...I had something similar happen just the other day. I ordered the FREE Stephanie and could have sworn I checked off the PC version and noticed after I downloaded that it was the MAC version that got downloaded. Partly my fault in that I should have checked before I clicked download. But I informed DAZ via email and they gave me a new link to get my PC version! It was so nice of them and the reply was fast. So explain to them what happened and they will try to help you. I sent the email attached that showed I bought the incorrect version. :) Hope all goes well... Dagar

I got the very same problem with MonsterParts 2. I emailed them on Firday. But they have the weekends off. So they probably will not get around to fixing it until Monday. Which completely ruins the weekend for me. I do not have time for poser on the weekdays.

Yes, the DAZ people are some of the friendliest people working for a company I've ever met. I've never had a problem working with them if something went wrong. Unfortunately, things seem to go wrong quite often. I checked my invoice, it says Windows on it. I guess the system goofed. I was just hoping someone could help, because DAZ seems to be closed or slow on the weekends. Thanks, tho.

I posted about this above. I think the whole Monsterparts link forwarder is busted. I still have my recipt page up and it says specifically Windows EXE version but it downloads the SIT file anyhow. Grr. Trashed weekend.

I got the same .sit file. I'm really upset about it. This isn't the first time either. I have to say, the next time I decide to drop 200 bucks, it won't be with Daz. I regularly spend over 500 bucks a month on models. Those links SHOULD have been double checked, especially since it was released on a FRIDAY. Bad bad business practises.

this occasionally happens, the links get confused, but they are fixed very quickly and all is well; I simply email them and nag a little but I don't get upset. The products from DAZ are always worth the wait and I am sure they will take care of the problem right away. I got the same error; and will check my download history because sometimes they fix that pretty fast; my Stephanie maps were fixed and I re-downloaded after a bit and they worked fine.

I too have to add that DAZ is wonderful and Reba is the coolest. I have done more screwups with downloads because of me not them and they have always come to the rescue. I understand the frustration of a trashed weekend but DAZ will fix it promply.

I have a strong rule for all of my net purchases - not just for DAZ: - never, never, never order anything on a Friday... The best day for all sorts of orders is Tuesday - 3 working days to come for dealing with all potential problems immedately. Monday is bad too, because they need it to deal with the folks from Friday, Saturday & Sunday... :-)
