With the pro pack, CL released plugins for Max, Lightwave, & Cinema 4D. They mentioned wanting to relase a plugin for Truespace, and then they would hopefully get around to a plugin for Carrara. When CL announced a beta exporter for Director, I mailed Kupa asking if CL still plans on producing a plugin for Carrara. I did not get a response (sometimes direct and to the point emails can be interpreted as rude). Is anyone here still interested in having a Poser plugin for Carrara? My thought is that if enough people show an interest, mabye CL will move the plugin for Carrara up in their development schedule.

A Plugin for Poser would be nice, the way it was with Ray Dream. If I rememer right, Poser installed Poser obj Files in the Ray Dream Folder. The other way would be, that Carrara is able to open Poser PZ3/4 files including Animations.

I have never used poser, but C2 will include bones so whats the big deal? Can't you just import your poser model and bone it? If Eovia has a great easy way of animating then i think the plug-inn would be pointless. Of course I do not use Poser (due to my fear of having all my models look excatly the way they came in the box :) ) so I may not understand the need.... -brent

I don't usually say very much, but I agree. I bought Carrara thinking I could use it in conjunction with Poser 4, but I was very upset to find I couldn't. I feel limited with my poser creations because there is no world I can place them in. CL and Eovia, hurry up and make the GD plugin already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they should make a remote device plug-in for Poser and Carrara. Poser has great library, text scripting easy to edit, walker designer, lipsync and many more. Carrara does not have these features but Carrara has great tools; modelling and render. I strongly recommend everyone to ask for remote device plug-in to use Poser as puppet to control the character in Carrara to make work much easier and productive. Waldoo
