Her face looks realistic enough, but the hair looks kinda fake. Same with her eyes. But I really like her face, though.

Thanks for the input....hmmmm the hair and eyes, what to do, back to the drawing screen. Sharen

With a little postwork you could make the hair look more realistic if you want to, but on the other hand, I like this hair the way it is. The eyes are too dark, but this is the texture, not your fault. I did not like her eyebrows - they are much to high above her eyes and I reworked this part of the texture. Besides that this texture is great. But back to your image: I like the expression on her face -she looks as if she is deep in thoughts or is daydreaming. I would save this face to the library - it's wonderful.

See now I am getting away from what I really wanted, due to the hair. I am trying to get a real African American and this is not it, although I like this image, it is not what I want. Sharen What am I doing wrong
SAMS3D posted Sun, 17 March 2002 at 3:24 PM
You are right, I think the eyebrows need to be down more but her eyes need to be darker, and the hair, ahhhhhh, gotta get good hair somewhere. I love AprilYSH's hair though. Sharen

sharen, if you have it, try vairesh's mariah hair...it's PERFECT for african american renders! if you don't have it, it's only $9.99 in the MP ;o) render time is kinda hefty, due to the detail, but WELL worth the wait! tam ;o)

In regards to the image in post 5, the head looks way too big for the body. The hair looks nice though. The proportions in image 1 look much better to me.
SAMS3D posted Sun, 17 March 2002 at 3:55 PM
tbenner, you are right but I think it is cause I moved the camera, and mizzthangg I am off to go get mariah hair, thanks for your help. Now guys what about the eyes. Sharen
Puntomaus posted Sun, 17 March 2002 at 3:59 PM
I would keep Aprils Hair - it looks good on her. I like the eyes in picture 2 but you are right, they could be a little bit darker but not as dark as those in image 1.

Okay, back to AprilYSH's hair, then fix the eyes. I am trying to do this with no postwork. Sharen Thanks all for your help.

Sharen, is this Catharina's Ona texture? I saw she had one, but only saw her one image on her site... Hers looked Mongolian, though. Cris

Pretty damn close to Michelle Trachtenberg, BTW (yes, I have a life outside of modeling BtVS characters).

The first image post have better sizing that the second one. The head of the second girl is too large for the body like tbenner says. What I prefer is the look of the dress (yellow color). And the eyes of the second girl. Guy

Believe it or not the head and body are the same size as the first picture, the camera angle changed so I could see the girl better. Getting old you know, anyway, what they are wearing is ChainMat by Daio, and this is Stephanie with Ona texture by Catharina, I still need to work on the girl more, I have decided to stay with AprilYSH's hair, I just think it looks better, I will work on the hair a little more. Thanks again, Sharen
