Hi, I need your opinion. As a poser addict, the poser directory on my harddisk keeps getting bigger and bigger. My pz3 scenes use a lot of space. When I want to backup them, I would have to search all the textures referenced in the file and backup them together with the pz3 file on a CD-R, right? So I wrote a small Java program that does this work. You can open a pz3 file and he checks the file for links to textures, collects those links and puts them in a directory of your choice together with the poser scene file. In the current version, I do not change the links in the pz3 file, so you have to re-apply the textures, but at least they're all in one directory. My question. What role play the obj Files. I thought all the information needed for a scene was included in the pz3. Sometimes in re-imported pz3s there are figures missing, even if they're listed in the hierarchy window. Is there any demand for a tool like mine and can someone tell me more about the obj problem? Greetings facehugger

I'm not sure what's up with the object files, but I for one would be interested in the utility. It sounds somewhat similar to the Poser Extractor program, but working on scene files? It sounds like it'd be a great help in archiving files when I'm done making an image.

Thanks for your feedback. That is an interesting idea. I will work on that maybe next weekend, cause I do not have enough time during the week... face
