Here is the female future cop I'm working on. I'm almost done, and would like to post it, but I've run into a few problems. 1) I heavily modified someone's texture and I don't know if he'll mind If I use it. About a 2 weeks ago, I emailed him to find out if he minded, but as of yet no response. 2) I don't have anywhere to host the file as of yet. I think it will be about 1.6MB Zipped. 3) I have some minor texture touch-ups to do and well, heck, no darned free time. Comments/suggestions would be appreciated. I'm using a number of props from the Propsguild and Greylight. Everyone will be credited, but I'm wondering if I need permission first. All that aside, I hope to post this character very soon and finally contribute something to this forum. Aharon

Very Nice character!!!! First of all check the readme's that came with the props, if they state that they want credit or for you to contact (as you have already done) then you should be ok. If you need some help getting it posted E mail me and I'll see what I can do. I have a lot of space left on my free site. As far as free time, cant help ya there but can relate :O) Sprout Snazzeroo@hotmail.com

Superb character, and the facial expression is just right :) Paul

Alas, I can't take credit for the facial expression. The pose (which I modified) came from greylight's cop poses. The face just happened to be there when I applied it, but I can include the face and the new pose when it's all done. You may notice a line on the arm where the front and back textures don't quite match in color. I've been doing what I can to touch it up with Photoshop, but have been having some difficulty. Hopefully she'll be posted soon. Aharon

If I surrender, will she promise to make me "assume the position" and "spread 'em"? Scarab <-thinking of possible crimes to go commit

Man, I'm glad I didn't show you her from behind. Maybe we should move this string to renderotica. Aharon

Lookin Good! Perhaps some pouches or gadgets on the belt and how about a communication headset of some sort?

Great work. Maybe you could add a shoulder patch for rank markings? I would say shoulder pads also, bot your armor seem to be lightweight materials (almost skintight), futuristic indeed. I love her face and hair. Maybe less colors on her arm computer?

arabinowitz posted Thu, 20 January 2000 at 9:24 PM

the shoulder patch is one of those things I've been meaning to add. You can't tell from the lighting (red and blue police lights) but she's a light african american, with a slight african american morph. As far as the computer goes, I am using the Next Generation Tricorder I got at the props guild. I left out a lot of other little props for two reasons 1- She' alread almost 2 meg zipped, so you might want to add props when you get her 2-I like to think that the little computer on her arm functios as a number of devices including comlink and light (plus whatever else you dream up - I can already see your mind at work, Scarab!) I hope to finish her soon, but I am having trouble with the file because of the 3DS props. Hopefully when I install the patch this weekend, I'll have less trouble with it. Thanks for your comments folks. Keep em coming. I'll keep you all posted.
