Actually, they already do, by two different methods that I know of. 1) Permanent price reductions on really old and outdated models. If you don't know what things such as the Rat cost originally, you might not recognize the price drops. (The Rat may not be worth its current price, either... but the Poser Cat needed something to chew on.) Also, the Eagle and the Dragon were originally MUCH higher. I think the price has dropped twice on them? Many people bought these models only for their wings (which were needed for other models such as pegasi, harpies, cupids, etc.) and this was no longer needed once the creature "parts" packs started appearing. 2) They often have sales around the holidays for people who bought certain high-priced models such as Mike or Vicki when they were introduced. When the entire DAZ store is on sale for 30% off (or whatever) it is easy to catch up on all the older goodies. Too easy, looking at last year's credit card statements. Perhaps folks who purchased something like the Millennium Baby will get an offer in the mail at the end of the year. Perhaps the New Introduction will be something we haven't even seen yet. Perhaps there won't be such a sale this year since they've already given us a wonderful freebie. ::Shrug:: I don't make predictions. Anyway, they have on occasion had storewide sales as a thank you to folks who purchased their newest developments. Note that brokered products are usually excluded. DAZ can offer a discount on the work of their own hands, but I suspect that the independant artists determine the value of their own offerings, and probably the amount of any introductory discount. I think I've seen occasional permanent price drops even on some brokered models, where the artist is discounting his older work or pieces which are too specialized to be popular. I've only been using Poser a couple of years, and this is the extent of my experience with DAZ/Zygote. They have had sales in the past. Whether they will have sales of various sorts in the future is of course up to them, the economy, and the quirks in some wriggly entrails. Meanwhile, to echo another thread... their prices are incredibly reasonable as is. They are also quite generous with the vouchers for folks who merely enter some of the contests they sponsor. Traditionally storewide sales happen one or twice a year.

Steve, ... And you have been dying to make some bubble spacesuit thingy for the Rat, and Rena can't wait to texture it! ::chortle:: (A blobby spacesuit is about the only thing which will hide that mesh.)
