Good morning all! I need to make a brow transmap for Stephanie, but I don't know how...I should, but I don't. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I would just paint the brows on, but mine always come out yukkie. :-)

I'll give it a try in a bit if you like :)

Eowyn, I don't know the first thing about how to make one...like do you paint eyebrows (which I can't do) and then somehow make a transparency out of them or what? I hate it when I'm clueless. :-)

I'm working on this myself. I believe you base it off of the texture map for the head. In the areas that have the eyebrows you paint white brow lashes on a black background. Same with the eyelashes. Then save the blackground whith the lashes texture map as a transmap. My advise ( since I'm working on it myself and haven't made one yet although I've done it for Posette) is to download a Stephanie texture and see how that's done. The Stephanie texture by Thumper in the free stuff has a transmap for the lashes. It's gotta be similar for the brows. Hope this helps..a little.

droyd is spot on. Use the texture template for the head. You literally paint on the lashes (in the upper eyebrows part of the template), but in black and white, not the colour you want the lashes to be. I find it easier to paint in black on a white background, then invert (create a negative image) as the last step. With Stephanie, as she's basically using Michael's template, you have 3 sets of eyebrows. The first is the main head texture, same as Vicky. That's if you're painting the brows in. Then there are "eyebrows" and "upper eyebrows" which are both transmapped (top right corner of the template). If you use both sets of transmapped brows, you'll get a more realistic, three dimensional effect. But that's harder to do. You have to make both transmaps sparser than would be realistic, so that when they overlap they intermingle. Well worth the effort if you have time.
