Please see the picture for reference. The black misty shadows are just ugly! I've played with lighting and it helps some, but not completely. I unchecked "cast shadows" in the properties and still no luck. As the subject says, this is the Pop Stars tank top with the black mesh MAT applied to it. I've also toyed with transparency and highlights because I can't think of anything else. I'm sure it's very simple and as usual, I'm just missing it or being silly. Any help/tips/ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

you'd get nicer shadows instead of blotches if you increase the shadowmap size on the lights' properties... but if you did turn off cast shadows of the tanktop properties it shouldn't have this anymore... (i don't recommend turning off shadows... it's cheating ;) ) hmm, don't know why that wouldn't work!

True, it is cheating, but if I can find a better way to fix it I'll turn that back on. I adjusted the map size of the lights and it did make a difference. Guess I'll just keep experimenting. (Also, I'm pretty sure it's the tank top, because if you apply another non-mesh MAT or take the tank off completely, there are no blotches.) Thank you for the tip though. I usually don't pay much attention to lights. Maybe now I will. :)

I'm so silly, I got it. It might be cheating too, but I totally forgot about the shadow casting on all the lights aimed at that area. All fixed now. Sorry for the airhead moment and thanks for the suggestion!!
