Hi jje All I saw out of going there is a big sales pitch and Meta trying to sell Metastream. The only thing that even interested me was the tutorial about the gargolye. EdW

I thought it was a weird PR thing, considering that they've divested themselves of their creative apps. Is it any good?

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

I feel left out, I didn't get the email. I did get a flyer yesterday, one of the ones where they offer their valued customers the very special opportunity (for a limited time only) to buy their software for exactly the list price. Its been a month since The Announcement (TM), and they still haven't really spelled out what their product line will be.

I wonder if they are trying to empty their warehouses... Jack

Being one who works for a LARGE company my reaction upon first seeing the e-mail was "clueless in Marketing". You know, the people who make unrealistic claims ("Of course we make a hovercraft!") but then couldn't tell you what version of software is shipping. We actually had one of 'em post Alpha software on our web site as "release" without telling anyone because they had guaranteed a big buyer that they would see new software by a given date. I'l prolly take a look at the links in the message over the weekend. Let'cha know if there is anything earth shattering. jje

I got that e-mail too. I think bloodsong has the right of it, we should all be claiming out $25 instant rebate :) Paul

Well I guess its natural theyre experiencing some confusion now... wondering how they want to keep up with the updating and tech support anyway ?! I mean, h.o.w ? As we can see, they always worked with a tight time limit and now they lost lots of good people... does anyone know how many Poser users are actually about ? We may be 10000 or so at the forum, but... oh well, just thinking. Pete
