The Light version of SoftCAD doensn't cost a thing. According to their website (and my experience) it's "not a demo, but a fully functional program" And the free program Pro-desktop (which is more CAD-oriented and is by PTC, the makers of Pro-Engineer) can be downloaded at http://www.ptc.com/products/desktop/index.htm.enMikeJ posted Fri, 29 March 2002 at 5:01 PM
Thanks for the info, heyse! You may have seen the thread below about a banner contest for this forum. I'm also collecting links and will be creating a whole page of them, which will be able to be accessed through the announcements box above. I'm digging up as much non program-specific material as I can find. Hopefully we can have a few general tutorials, as well, in due time. General modeling monthly challenges would be cool, too. As it is right now, a few of the modeling forums have regular challenges, but nothing for someone using, say, Marble Clay or Anim8or.
