How can I form that logo to shape of the tire wall without it getting narrowed towards the top. If you get what I'm saying, it just doesn't look natural on the tire. I used the Shear filter to do that.

OR...if anybody has or knows what font that is, that'd be even better.

I dunno bout the font, but if you want letters to go in the exact direction/bends you want, its best to use illustrator or Freehand. You can gget the fonts to follow the vector paths (which I don't believe you can do in PS6). I dunno how its done exactly, but i know its a simple feature of the program.

Try experimenting with the Polar Coordinates filter. The following steps should do it: 1> Start with a square image, and paste the tyre right in the centre. Mark where you want the lettering to start with a small spot using the brush. 2> Apply Polar Coordinates (Polar to Rectangular). 3> Now paste the text on a new layer and align the beginning with the mark that you'd made in the tyre layer (it'll also have been distorted by the filter). 4> Apply Polar Coordinates (Rectangular to Polar) to both the layers and you should be done! Let me know whether it worked. I'm trying it out as well. It should, though. :-)

Oh yes ! You might want to add a little bit of shear to the middle of the text before applying Polar Coordinates the second time (Rectangular to Polar) to give it the bulging look.

Wow....That was too easy. I needed it for a texture for my 3D project, but it worked great in any case. Thanks a lot!! :)

You're most welcome Rome. I am new around here and don't have any images in my gallery thanx to a slow dial-up connection. But will definitely put up some stuff soon. Do drop in!!

Ohhh yes...I remember the dial-up days. This is only my second project I ever worked on too (the stock car in my gallery). Well, third if you count the one I didn't finish. Hope to see some of your work soon.... Thanks Again.
