hello :) i was wondering how the grasp dial on the vicki and micheal's hands work. how it controls all the fingers at the same time thanks for any help

I believe it is a Joint Controlled Morph JCM where one dial(grasp) turnes many other dials at once. Try searches about slaving dials and JCM.

A quick search of the MW CR2 and OBJ geometry files shows controller (key) sections for handGrasp and handSpread in the hands but without the corresponding JCM valueOpAddDelta controlled sections in the fingers. I suspect this means that the keywords handGrasp, etc. are special built-in Poser functions.

heyas; the grasp, thumb grasp, and spread dials of the hands are hard wired into poser. nobody is quite sure how they work, although they obviously rotate the finger joints in some manner. there is no slaving code in the cr2's however. it's poser internal. but, if you want to use grasp/spread dials in your figure hands, you can, just copy them into the hand. if you used standard naming conventions for the fingers, and have a standard rotation order, they should work. if you have a non-standard rotation order, they may not work so hot. i put grasp dials in the daz eagle feet, and they work okay, but not the thumb grasp.
