I recently purchased the entire "Roughnecks Starship troopers" 3d animated TV series on a set of DVDs, the show was completely animated in Lightwave. after listening to the technical Commentary of the animators on the DVD got really inspired to do some animation. I found this incredible warrior bug poser figure in freestuff. and would like to animate him walking, running, killing, etc( in poser of course!!) its fully posable but has no IK setup for his limbs How would you approach this?? Thanks

Could you edit the .cr2 file using that editor (I don't know the name of it) available for that? I don't know for sure, just guessing that might be a place to start.

I've never done it myself but there's a section in the manual (poser 4) that shows how to set up IK chains in the heirarchy editor. ... hope that helps.

The hierarchy editor's your answer, I'm doing this from memory, if you click on the character in the hierarchy editor it'll offer you the option to set up IK's, accept this, give them an appropriate name and just drag the leg portions in sequence from the top, the last one will be the goal of the IK, avoid the toes (which is what Zygote did for the animals) and it should all be OK.
