Hello, I'm new to the Fractal gallery, I'm a long time member of Renderosity, but new here. I'm wondering which software to use. I found the link "http://fraktali.849pm.com/fracpro.html" to all the cool fractal programs, but which ones are worth getting. What do you true fractal heads use? Thanks Kaom

well, ultrafractal is not free... but worth the 35 bucks... you can try it for 30 days i think... it's not a crippled version and works on the honor system, which is darned cool.

You may also wont to think about how the compatability and un-install features rank(add up) for the software that you find to be of interest(Example;Your above Link) before you install..You do not wont multiple internal conflicts because the software that you found on the internet was not compatible or was not micrsoft/apple tested/approved.UltraFractal is very cool.Audre's gallery has "one of a kind" work that will be a perfect "UF" reference. Also don't forget to check out the "UF" "Link's page".Patricia posted Wed, 03 April 2002 at 2:50 PM

If you're a Mac person, I just came across yet another site with a large list of free-and shareware. What's great about this one is the reviews that the site's author gives each one. I found several apps there that I hadn't seen anywhere else.kaom posted Wed, 03 April 2002 at 3:13 PM
Thanks for the input guys. I'm on PC. I agree about the uninstall facts. I don't like installing poorly coded software on my system. I want to use what works, and I know that you people in here know what to use that works good. Any recommendations off this page http://fraktali.849pm.com/fracpro.html The list is huge, but there isn't any info about the apps, when you click on them, it just starts the download. Thanks kaom

P.S. - I have KPT 3,5 & 6, and I do utilize the fractals in those, but I'm looking for other things. I did look at Xenodream, and it looks incredible, but right now, I can't spend any money, so, "hence" the free Fractal programs, that are out there. Is there a place that reviews them? Thanks again kaom
