This might not be the effect you're after, but you might try creating a cube prop a distance from the face and making it invisble in the object properties window then setting the eyes to point at it. Wherever you move the cube, the eyes will follow.

Select the magnet. Then goto object and properties. On the pop up screen will be 'add elements to deform'. Select it. Select one of the eyes from the list that appears. Then repeat for the other eye. If you spawn morph target you will have to do it for the eyes as well as the head. later, Phillip

FYI - there are screen shots of this menu action in one of my magnet tutorials. Enjoy, Phillipbloodsong posted Wed, 03 April 2002 at 6:09 PM
heyas; select the eyes and make sure 'bend' is checked in the properties. (ctrl-i). magnets won't affect anything that has the bend turned off. and (of course) add them to the magnet like the 3dwizard says. you can also go into the cr2 and make the eye trans dials visible (hidden 0) so you can move the eyes around with those, if they're not visible already.
