well, until you put a background in, I can't offer any advice on how to make the character mesh well with it, cause it's a simple black right now (which I think looks good, but who knows). The only advice I can offer has to do with the eye in the 5th chakra of the character. It kinda looks pasted on, not like it's a part of the character. Otherwise this is some fine work mah friend.

I'd suggest something resembling a newspaper. Gray with black type(either legible or not). Blurred so the image you have is still prominent. Even before I read the message, that's the first thing I thought of.

I agree with Slynky, the eye needs to blend with the head better. Other than that, I see the figure in a basement type area (decaying wall structure...) with a hallway or the appearance of one coming from the right side of the image with the perspective receding towards the back (this will bring the focus to the character...). Offset this hallway so the character is not directly in the path of it. Place the character in front of the connecting wall that runs "east-to-west". You could even have the character appear as if it had traveled through the wall (giving it a mystical aspect...)
It's pretty cool now, with the right background and textures it'll be awesome.
my 2cents.
