Hi Family, I recently posted an image to the 2D gallery (mobius effect) and posted a link in this forum. I got a reply that it was in the wrong gallery. question:although the images were created in Poser, the effect was done in Photoshop so which gallery should my post production images go? is the 2D gallery for images done exclusivly in a 2D app?

Well, it's debatable. I think Viper is saying that it looks like a 3D image because most of it, well all of it was made in Poser except for the mobius effect. I think the image would be fine in either gallery, but I think, for this image, it may be better in the 3D gallery because the are poser figures. -Adam BTW: Great image

heya; what i think they might mean is... computer art goes in the cg gallery and 'real' art goes in the 2d gallery. or something like that... :/ (???)

I am about to go take a look. Whoever told you that it didnt belong is wrong imho. The art that goes into the CG is Supposed to be where the image is a 3d render with maybe a little touchup in a 2d app. The Mobius effect images because of the intense photoshop work Should be in 2d (again my opinion) The criterion for the 2d gallery is freehand art, either drawn on the computer or scanned in, and images where basic composition is put together in a 2d program. Ie, I may use a Lot of 3d renders in an image but I will often mask and layer them,, The image I am working on now has had up to 60 layers, but I merged them down to about 8.. still have a Lot of work to do on it concerning "perspective" issues and may ultimately trash it but if I post it to a gallery I am posting to 2d. http://members.tripod.com/~Tartan_3/misc/lighthouse.jpg if anyone is interested Tartan
