SML is a 100% original figure, with basicly Supermodel Vickie's (and Supermodel Morph Vickie's) shape, able to wear SMV's line of clothing, as she happly models here. She is also sporting my almost-finished hair, which I've been working on for what seems like years.
Anyway, getting back to SML, she isn't quite as good as she looks, maybe, she is intended as a low-polygon easy-on-the-computer figure, sort of the classic girl in the back row. She wasn't really intended to compeat with any for-sale figure. She come with the texture map shown, and I would rather she wasn't remaped to take Vickie or Posette textures, please, for the above reason. She also can't open her mouth, and has no teeth (sort of like my old Grandma...)
After saying all that, though, she doesn't look all that bad, and you don't see too many 100% Poser ready original female figures being given away. ;-) The whole idea is to get you to rush out and buy SMV's clothing for her, of course, but you really don't have to do that!
As I'm worried about the downloads killing Bill's server, I'm not going to put her in Free Stuff, so once this scrolls off you will have to search her out, but anyway,, have fun!

I just got her downloaded and I have to ask, what has she been up to that her knees are all red like that?
hauksdottir posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 2:49 PM
Can she walk flat-footed? Or is the pointed toe a permanent part of her mesh? She really is lovely, and I'm thinking of willowy dryads, not all of whom will be standing tippy-toed. With the lower poly-count, we can start to group figures for dance scenes and such. Thank you for offering her to us! Carolly

Does it seem to anyone else that all of Jim's supermodels look kinda tanssexual? Something slightly horsey and masculine about their faces, I guess, and they seem a bit hipless and broad-shouldered. Come o think of it, a lot of actual supermodels look like trannies, too... maybe they ARE, who knows?

Thanks guys and gals! Yeah, she can walk flat foot, only her default (0 bend) is for heels, same as SMV. To put it another way, she wears flats as well as regular Vickie wears heels! She has toes too, only then are bumps rather than individual like her fingers, but she can bend 'em. Another corner I cut to save polygons. Other than that teeth , she has all the working parts, she even has her eyelashes mapped to a dedicated transparency map, like Dina (and Vickie should have had). Ah, to the red knees, she will never tell- besides she can't tell, as she can't open her mouth! Oh, she take SMV/Vickie poses too, mine above are from some that I bought at Bbay, pretty nice, I think (I sell there, but I'm a customer too!)

Actually, I was watching (I hate to admit) the Victoria's Secret Swimsuit hour on E yesterday and I was impressed with how close SMV's body was to most of the "girls from Brazil", of course most real women aren't that skinny, but they do make the clothing look good! The face is another story, I might be the only one that likes my faces!

She holds up very well for closeups. Nice texture too. I have heard that some men prefer a woman who can keep her mouth shut. grin Which is probably why I'm single. I like her, gonna get her. She can joke about Vickie's fat butt in the background.

dod = did!

That will be fine (I'm not going to do prehensile toes, although my landlady and good friend can pick a dime up off the sidewalk with hers!). The bend angle on the foot might need a bit of postwork, depending upon how far back the figure is from the camera. She holds up rather well to the close-up images (better than some of us real people) so she ought not pout. :^) Carolly

I knew a Vietnamese stripper in D.C. who could pick up a quarter with her--um, never mind.

Low res Lori? Sounds like a cousin inlaw I have. Looks better from a distance (although never this good). We put her in the backrow in all the family photos ;) smerc

You mean the ones pullung the ends back behind her shoulders? Beats me! I'll do a set when I do the promised update, but I don't have any yet - wait, how did you get it back there? ;-) Great image, too! Incidently, as I didn't think DAZ would let me put a scaling pose in the San Fran hair set for SMV, SMMV, and SML, guess who the default fits?
Zrincx posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 4:48 AM
HAH!! How I got it back there? You see. ..no.. LOL :-) Ahh, Ive since found out that you are coming up with a new prop, Las Vegas hair.. GREAT,, but it IS the San Fran. prop which is used as base, right? Nevermind, the LVHair looks VERY good, cant wait to get my hands on it. Im not sure what your talking about in the last part of your msg above.. SMW, SMMV, SML, AND "guess who the default fits?" (sorry) AND, could you provide me the exact link to your store to that exact same model as Thorne uses the hair from? Thanks in advance.

Ach... it fits SML ??????? :-)
Jim Burton posted Tue, 09 April 2002 at 7:43 AM
Yeh, what I was saying, in my own crude way, is I have to fit the hair to something, while I construct it, so I fit it to Supermodel Vickie, as I find her easy on th eyes! ;-) That also means that she (and Supermodel Morph Vickie and Supermodel Lori) have no need for the scaling pose that all other figures get, incidently. Vickie is close enough that she can get away without it, but I still have one for her.
