I am using vicky and for some reason when I pose her anythign beyond just standing, she starts to pop thru the catsuit. I'm trying to figure out how to get the suit to conform better to her. I know I can get hide the parts that come thru, but unfortunately it's her shins and her forearms which still show a bit with the catsuit. Does anyone have a suggestion for me on how to get her to get back into her clothes. Dragontales

The easiest way is to actually make the parts that show through invisible. You can turn them off in the hierachy.

Well.... this is a typical Poser 4 prob. :o] I usually pull down the Y Scale and Z Scale for the forearms plus X Scale and Z Scale for the shins to about 95% or even less. This doesn't become noticeable until you push it well below that since the wrist and ankle change the least when you scale these parts. I often work with the catsuit partly transparent, so I have to keep the entire body visible, and that's not a barrel of fun exactly. Also, it sometimes helps to bend ankle and shin by just 1 or -1. Animation in a catsuit with visible shin and forearm is almost impossible! Unless you're really, really determined.... Best of luck. :] FIshNose

As an addendum to fishnoses notes, if you have already adjusted any of the other limb
s scaling you should adjust the catsuit to match, as the bones set-up is affected by scale. Then do what fishnose suggests. If conforming absolutely won
t work properly you could pull the catsuit`s mesh about with magnets, to get it to cover the offending areas. Not ideal but it does the job.

Actually, the catsuit and body matches exactly as far as scaling and measurements are concerned. She's actually vicky 2 and I used some of the more custom morphs she came with, Kinda a bit shorter and more muscular. I think my problem lies there. I do have the clothes thing that adds all those morphs to her clothes, but it now gives me these problems. When will Poser allow for mesh deformation around another object so that this doesn't happen? Anyway, thanks for the ideas, I've already tried a couple of them, but, wasn't having any luck. Thanks again, Dragontales

Do you have the correct version of the catsuit? There is one with ALL the Vicki2 MTs included. Makes life a lot easier, works very well for me. Another thing: the catsuit has feet, even if they are invisible. You can change scale on the invisible feet, or even bend them, to get the shins to move a little. :] FishNose

Actually, I didn't know about the feet. Perhaps that's giving me the problems. What about hands? Does it have those as well?

It took me awhile, but I made a version of the morphing bodysuit that would conform to a slightly modified version of the a character from the Girl Next Door pack. I planned on using this character a lot with Davo's bodysuits, so I knew that just making a preset would be the best. You just have to be ABSOLUTELY positive that you copied over the PBMs. My first attempt failed becaues I missed those partial morphs, since I rarely use them.

Kiera, that's looking good!! Funny, I'm using exactly the same Shard skimpy trans map at the moment... :o] I've used the Tailor to transfer about 160 of my own MTs to the V2 catsuit. Some one them modify the body shape quite heavily. The results astounded me - almost all of them work exactly like they were supposed to! Took me the better part of a day to do it, but now I have a catsuit that my Vicki can really wear. :] FishNose

Ok, looks like you guys/gals have done exactly what I'm trying to do. The thing is, I'm a bit confused as to the steps, and correct order in which to do all this. Could someone, like Fishnose or Kiera type them out how you did it? For my Vicky2, I only used the morphs and such that came with her to create my character, does this help? Now how do I do all those steps to make sure my Catsuit acts as yours does? I'd be eternally grateful for this info, such as the transfering of MTs etc. Dragontales

Here's what I do:
Some notes:
It's a pain the first time, but once you do it once and save it somehow, you never have to do it for that character again. ;)
If all this sounds like a pain, there IS another option. You can open up the character's MOR pose file (if it has one) and create a MOR pose based off that for the catsuit. You have to rename all the morph channels though, to match the catsuit. ie: breastsize 1 c vs. breastsize 1. Some people prefer text over fiddling with dials, which is why I mention it here.
Dragontales posted Tue, 09 April 2002 at 10:12 PM
Ok, that's pretty much what I've been doing, but perhaps I missed a dial or two. I've noticed that once I turned off the IK, it did work better, however the main problem areas for me are the forarms, and the shins. The catsuit doesn't seem to bend the same way the arms and legs do, and hence, come thru. Guess I'll keep fiddling. I'll also check out the morphworld stuff. Thanks again, Dragontales PS - I'm still interested in what Tailor is.

Finally!! I figured out what the hell was wrong. Here's a tip for anyone reading this. Don't scale the figure in only 1 direction. I had scaled all her parts on the y axis to 96 percent. I had also done this to the catsuit, however that scaling created wierd bending of the figures. I guess if you want a slightly shorter figure, you have to do it another way. Go figure. It all works perfectly now, after rescaling it back to 100. Thanks for all your help.
