Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
I textured my character before making her poseable. My UV groups seemed to simplify the mesh-grouping process in Pro Pack's setup room. I had assigned different textures to each body part, so could select/unselect entire sections of the model using the grouping tools.
I typically use LithUnwrap or UVMapper to UV-map my models and produce texture templates, and Paint Shop Pro to paint the actual textures. Take note that UVMapper works only with .obj meshes, but since you're making this into a Poser character, it'll end up in .obj format anyway.
Nice demon-dood!
