ok i have this dood i am working on.. and want to make it posable with the poser pro pack.. ok the question i have is should i texture this guy before i create him posable or opisite.. and whats a good program to texture 3ds models :) thanks here is the guy if you want to check him out http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=167061&Start=1&Sectionid=21&WhatsNew=Yes

I textured my character before making her poseable. My UV groups seemed to simplify the mesh-grouping process in Pro Pack's setup room. I had assigned different textures to each body part, so could select/unselect entire sections of the model using the grouping tools.

I typically use LithUnwrap or UVMapper to UV-map my models and produce texture templates, and Paint Shop Pro to paint the actual textures. Take note that UVMapper works only with .obj meshes, but since you're making this into a Poser character, it'll end up in .obj format anyway.
