Over on the Yahoo groups Eovia Carrara forum, Philip from Eovia has stated that we can expect Carrara 2 this Spring! Woohoo. It will be a major update and for us Mac users it will be fully carbonized meaning it will run either in OS9 or Native in OS X. I cant wait, I can finally switch to OS X permanent like. There is also a French or Italian site stating they have been told it will be released in June. June is the target date, but as often happens in software development, a bug or obstacle can delay that severley. My guess is that by Macword New York in July, we will be using or getting C2. I can't wait.

One thing that Eovia has stated that there will be a feature similar to Radiosity only far superior. Also there will be new features for Character animamtion, bones I guess. And as I stated, the Mac users will get a Native version for OS X, which is huge on its own.

Well I can certainly identify with computer issues. A code that hits harder also hits your machine harder. Let's hope the renderer is also faster as well as better. -Kix
