It is supposed to allow a way to "bank" your library files, and change banks on the fly, so to speak. Basically, an easy way to organize your characters and poses etc. I know this isn't a very good explanation, but it should give you an idea anyway. The attached thread has a blurb from the author, hogwarden that describes it better.KattMan posted Thu, 11 April 2002 at 2:16 PM
Ahhh ok, I see what he is doing. Though with Poser 5 looming ahead, I might hold off on this. I think I really need to grab Cooper if he is going to be at Dragon*Con and ask him about the file structure. Is it changing?

Hi there... PoserBooost is being beta-tested at the moment. Much to-ing and fro-ing. There is currently a problem which appears to be related to Win XP.... Bloomin' Bill Gates! The app runs beautifully on Win 98. Many hats should be removed to the particular tester who is pulling out all the stops to help me fix the problem!!!! Won't be long! Howard:)

Sorry. What is "The Tailor"?
KattMan posted Thu, 11 April 2002 at 5:22 PM
hogwarden may have to get his app out soon though. It is possible that Poser5 could make his app obsolete. As for Tailor. It will create morphs for clothing items to match (closely) the morphs for your figure. This is something that may not be obsolete when the next verison of poser comes out. Another item of note will be my poser Wizard. This does a couple of things and can be expanded later. Hopefully this won't be obsolete when the next version comes out either. Over all there are many additional programs out there that can take care of tedious processes in poser and I do hope the CL programmers are paying attention to this. They could possibly build these things into a future version of Poser. Some things are probably best left to other people to write for you.

"hogwarden may have to get his app out soon though. It is possible that Poser5 could make his app obsolete." True, but PoserBooost also works for Poser3 and that's not obsolete by any means! We have just seen another upsurgence in newbie Poser 3 users due to the magazine offer. I'm sure that many people will continue to use the freely available earlier Poser versions as an introduction to the world of Poser, and PoserBooost will just make their jouney into 3d art slightly more pleasant!

regarding poser 3 users and 3rd party utilities. Do you think there is a need for this sort of utility and poser 3? I didn't have trouble with runtime size until I started using the millineum figures. Not saying you shouldn't try, I just can't see someone spending money on a utility for a free program, when that money could be applied to an upgrade to poser 4. eric

Hey eric, compare the cost of the Booost with the cost of Poser 4. Now go out and think how many of those free Poser 3 users are going to be leeching the freestuff. Now think about how big those libraries are going to be. Yes there is going to be a market for the PoserBooost for a while methinks.

Reaasons for PoserBooost... I just saw that the library system of Poser3/4/Propack is ineffective when you have a lot of resources residing within it. It bugs me rotten trying to find what I'm looking for and I know it bugs a lot of other people too just by reading the threads here at 'Rosity!
