I'm transferring my poser files to my new laptop-- yea! No more sore legs from sitting for hours posing. However. I'm not sure I tossed out my old Stephanie exe, when I got my new update. And since they are just called Stephanie, I can't tell. I meant to put it in a folder marked update, along with the correct AprilYSfix to let her wear Vicki skins. I really did mean to-- but apparently didn't. I seem to remember someone telling me about a line in the CR2 that denoted the correct Steph. Also, I'm networking the two computers to transfer some files, could I just transfer the one I Know is the right Steph-- from the libraries or would that screw everything up? It still wouldn't help me back up the exe, would it? But I could probably get some help there from Daz on Monday. Any ideas would be helpful. Emily

Hi Emily :) Easiest thing to do is log in to Daz and down at the bottom on the left go to "order history" and re-download it. Why knock yourself out! LOL Sassy

Well, because it's been over a month and the download has expired. But it was a great thought. Emily

Just email them and they will help you out. As long as you have your receipt or it's on the order history you will be fine. Marque

If you really want to check, make a face pose and open it in a text editor. There will be a line refering to the eyesize morph. If it says "eyesize a" then you have the new Steph. If it just says "eyesize" then you have the old one.

Hmmm... sorry... didnt think about that :( OK... I just looked at my 2 .exe's.. The first was 5.35MB, the second (the update) was 4.93MB (interesting that its smaller? LOL). But see if your exe matches either one of them? Maybe you could tell that way. And the version # is 4.01 according to the cr2... Sassy <---- hoping she helped this time :)

The filedate is wierd, Ron, because I redeemed my gift certificate for Steph on March 11th but the fixed version hadn't gone up yet. However, Sassy, I do remember that the new and improved model WAS smaller-- so that lets me know which one to archive and which one to toss. I switched over the files last night-- geometries to geometries and cr2 to cr2. Holding my breath the whole time. Seemed to work but XP is not as happy about running Poser out of the Program files as my other OS's have been. With 16G's of scratch disk available it said there wasn't enough room to render-- I think it didn't know where to render. I saved the pz3-- it was my first save on the new system-- and then everything was ok. Just in case anyone else transfers to a new XP and has this problem. Oh, it's so good to be able to work on a big screen-- 16 inches flat screen at 1600 by sumpin [12-00??] is Huge!!! And this is the first time the refresh rate is kind to my vertigo at 32bit/ or 24, I forget, anyway TrueColor. I'm a little ditsy cause I was up till 3 playing. I have to transfer the rest over today-- click, click, click till I think my hands are falling off, and then all I'll use my desktop for is online stuff and some post. If anyone is thinking about whether Adobe Elements is good enough to replace PhotoShop-- forget it! It came with my new Sony and seems to be designed for low memory stuff. There's no fade on the filters, and it crashes everytime you blink and apologises very very nicely for losing all your work. I'm getting rid of it-- and using PSP on my new puter for preliminary post. Next month I'm adding a 120G firewire-- 360 at Western Digital--- and I can take a breath on spare memory and scratch disk space at least. I might even be able to run Painter 7. Emily

Well, I put Poser on the partitioned "D"drive, not the "C" and it has 16Gs on that scratch drive. Brand new machine, I dont' think it needs defrag yet. I really do think-- because there was some transferring from the shared files on "C" that it got confused. What confused me-- no place to tell Poser where it's scratch disk is????? Unless I'm overlooking something. It's eventually going on half of the 120G but this month is squeaking already. I do like XP so far. It holds my hand a little bit much, but that's Microsoft. Emily
