Also when opening charactor I get the newer file type box even though I have version 4.03

The newer file type means it was made with Pro Pack. The other problem, what operating system and RAM do you have.

Nothing in the read me about it being Pro Pack but ..oh well I dont like the blue death screen so I guess I cant use it........BOO Hoo

Which car? They were both created with pro pack but should work fine either way. I have Poser4 by itself loaded on another machine and I haven't had any problems nor have I heard of any until now. If it opens fine but crashes only when you try to render it sounds like your running out of memory, but 512 should be enough.

Just a thought, try opening a new copy of the car and rendering it alone. I wonder if it got messed up in the pz3. I have had pz3 files get corrupt (not with the car though) and I had to start a render over from scratch.

I'm at my work machine where I only have Poser4 Basic loaded. I'll test and resave the cr2. Instant message me an email address and I'll send it too you and see if that works. Hope that works, thats the best I can do.

I can render the 57 Chev with my tiny 150 meg of ram, without problems. This PC hates Poser and to be safe I save before rendering, sometimes rebooting before rendering scenes with lots of figures or more than 5 lights. No screen of death though, only frozen Poser program (not responding) Tommy.

Try opening the obj in uvmapper and then just save it without changing the settings. that might fix it....Steve
