Subject: vectoring in photoshop?

i don't suppose anyone knows about this supposed vectoring system in photoshop, i still have a lot to learn about that program i've heard that theres a way to draw freehand vectored outline in photoshop, similar to how you'd do it in say flash i like flashs vectoring abilitys, and i wanna know if it's possible to do the same, or atleast something similar in photoshop can anyway explain? or atleast point out a tutorial for me? i need help with this urgently

The pen tool, all of the shape tools, and the text tools are vector based. The pen tool is the most fexible in editing after you create a shape as it retains editing points. It works basically the same as in Illustrator, or Freehand.

Photoshop's vector tools are somewhat limited. If yer accustomed to vector work in Flash, Freehand would prolly be a good choice for you to pick up (the two programs work interchangably with eachother as far as I gather). When Photoshop 7 comes out, they will have probably upgraded the vector tools abilities a lot with any luck. Wait and see. In photoshop, the fact that the text is vector is a big plus. The vector tools don't really do it for me (i usually rasterize the shape as soon as I have it the way I want).

The Rectangle tool and the tools under it down to Custom Shape Tool are vector tools also until you rasterize it.
