Subject: Morphing photo textures to Poser templates possible in Photoshop??

Here's the question, can I for example; Take a picture of an actual ear and somehow apply points on it so I can then drag those points anywhere, which will morph the pic of the ear to fit into a Poser template of said ear perfectly? I am not talking about a four point box around a pic where I can rotate, scale and skew. Something in the realm of multiple points (perhaps a grid) across the photo which could each be moved individually. Can Photoshop even do this? Agent Smith

I know pictureman Rubber can do that. WWW.STOIK.COM. But why misshape an ear or whatever to fit a poser texture wouldn't it word better to morph the poser figure. Alternatively can't a person paste INTO ba selection which would have the same effect as resizing a non square shape. Bsteph

Stoik's Rubber is just a deformer, their Morph Man 3.0 could be more along the lines of what I was thinking, I'm not sure. Up there is what I am doing and simply put; I want to have the picture of the real ear fit into the outline of the ear on the Poser TEMPLATE, perfectly. Obviously, they are not the same shape. I could make them the same dimensions, but without being able to make the outline of the real ear fit into the outline of the template ear, it all comes down to getting it close, then clone stamp to fill in gaps. I don't think Photoshop can do what I am wanting to do here.

Before After I'm at work so I don't have PS to use here. BUT I do have PSP ver 3. Using a lasso tool I mirrored the ear. Then lassoed what I wanted. Then coppied. I then selected the wire frame ear areas that I wanted to paste into. I then pasted into the selection. This was my result. I imagine that something similar can be done with PS. especially if the shapes are so similar. The other choice is to use a morphing program and stretch the ear to fit but that is more deformation. I have "Pasted Into", but it doesn't conform the first selection to fit into the second. I still would have to clone stamp. I will need a custom morphing program. Thanks for your help! AgentSmith

SurfaceSuite Pro does what you're talking about. It allows you to tack a photo onto a 3d model, you can move each tack individually so you can perfectly stretch parts of the photo to match the model. I think this program was discontinued, but it's awesome and you might be able to find it fairly cheap if you look around.

It does look to be quite goo. BUT for between $450 - $500.00 roughly I'm not sure is the review I saw gives it the best justice. Bsteph
