When you live in the inner city as Jane and I used to, you get around a lot on public transport...being the way i am, I've collected a few photos of some journeys...this first one I posted in the gallery a few days back...coming home from the races (the Melbourne Cup), two friends reliving the days fun.

The husband of the friend Jane is talking to above...a wonderful guy, but the days excitement (or was that alcohol) was obviously too much for him!

And my lover and best friend...taking a tram ride with me. :-)>

All are wonderful, PC, but that second one...absolutely painterly!! I can't stop looking at it.

Doing "in-the-moment" work and then applying your own standards of what is good and bad is training the eye and makes you more aware of possible images in the future. First shot is a good candid, second shot is a keeper, print only the top of the third. The foreshortening does not do the subject justice.

I agree the first is a great candid shot, the second is really excellent, great shots PC.

Thanks for the feedback, I love the pic of our friend Yogi asleep too! I see what you mean about the foreshortening in pic 3...Interesting, I suppose I didn't really register the "unflattering" aspect of this shot because I **know** how great my wife's legs are in real life (as opposed to when they're shown photographically foreshortened)!! Anyway, is this a bit more flattering? Once again, thanks all. :-)>

very flattering, you have a lovely wife ; ) What I really like about this one is the expression captures the warmth of someone you know & love but the shades really give the image that anonymous traveller on a train feeling.
