Attached Link: http://www.re-enact.com/Societies.htm

I found an awesome website listing re-creation societies ranging from the American Civil war, to pre-Christian Rome! As far as I can tell, these societies are very specific about the kit their members create and display in public, so authenticity shouldn't be a problem.

So check it out... it's worth it!

As an ex member of ACWS, and SOSCAN I can agree with TygerCub as to the authenticity of the Uniforms etc. We spent nearly as much time in research as re enactment, and money, well is like poser, you need an infinite amount. Fun though. As a matter of interest (or not) SOSCAN were featured in the cover booklet which came with an album called "white Mansions" so we even got to meet Waylon Jennings, Jessie Coulter and others.
