In using certain objects, like the "patch of grass" and any trees, how would I duplicate them so that I dont have to manually copy them each time? For example, if I wanted to add flowers to a field and spread them all over without having to use copy and paste and to set their positions, how would I do that? I know there's a "scatter, replicate" option, but how do I use it and get the desired affect that everyone else gets?

You have to do many tryals to get exactly what you want. Here is just a sample. 1. Create some trs (or whatever). Do not copy/past trees, but create individuals, otherwise they will look all the same:-(. I have created 7 trees for this sample. Select them all! 2.Open the Scatter/Replicate window and configurate what you want. Here I used the Replicate. Don't forget that in Vue, X, Y and Z works a different way as usual (see image 4). Click OK. 3.Now you get, (in my sample, 5x7 trees) the number of replicates you have choosen. At least, and that's important: before you group your objects (trees), select them all, bring them over your terrain. Then click the "drop to ground" icon to make them all sit at the right place on your terrain, following the different levels. Only now you may group them. Have fun and try, try, try!:-) Guitta

Something that has helped me in using the scatter tool is the triangle or box method. Lets say you want to fill an area with grass. Put one grass patch in each corner of the area you wish to fill. Select all four patches and when you replicate and scatter all of the copies will be placed inside the boundaries of the 3-4 objects you selected. Another thing is to use only the top view when scattering. This allows you to get them all spread out like you want, then drag them up above the landscape and use the drop tool to make them all sit on the ground no matter what kind of contour you have (just make sure they are not grouped, all selected but not grouped).

Hi, I want to make a trail of bubbles, for an animation of a torpoedo and a submarine underwater. Is it possible to make an animated ecosystem of bubbles that move the way a real bubble trail does? Like in a stream?
