Try Trans Min on 100%, and sometimes I find to lower Highlight and transperancy to 0. Or maybe your transmap is not black enough. Hope this helps. Tashar 59

Unfortunately not ;) min and max are both 100, highlight is at min, transmap is pure black.

You can also turn visability off on parts of pants, check your lighting, sometimes changing the light angle helps. Tashar 59

P.S. Is your Highlight color black? Tashar 59

Can it be that the reflection map is still active for the legs? Seravajan
kbennett posted Tue, 23 April 2002 at 5:39 PM
Yeah, I turned of parts of the pant legs, and that hid those parts of course, but I can't switch of the 'shorts' element or the whole thing disappears. The highlight colour is black yes. Should it be?
As for reflection maps I don't have any loaded at all, just the slider set to 0.
Thanks for the tips guys, keep 'em coming :)

I had the same problem a couple months ago. I solved it by using the same black map for both the texture map and the transparency map. Then I set the the transparency minimum and maximum to 100%. Let me know if this works, I am working from memory. :) Jay

The Black you are using for the Highlights has to be the Black from the bottom left hand corner of the Basic Colors, any other black will show up. Also! Make sure you set that for all the Materials that clothing item has.

and make sure your reflection colour is set to pure black, even though you have no reflection applied

Strange this looks really like a reflection or a transmap. Probably you should check this again. Seravajan

Nope, definitely no transmap loaded. All reflection settings set to zero, min and max trans set to 100. This last pic doesn't even have a tex map loaded, it's just the basic model with all the parts set to 100 transparent, all 4 colours set to black. This is really doing my head in.

here is the solution- you must load a texture which is black on the transparent parts Karlkbennett posted Wed, 24 April 2002 at 8:12 AM
That sounds hopeful Grammer. I'll try it when I get home this afternoon. Thanks.
