Bryce4, Zygote Galley, flag from 3D Cafe. Eleven and a half hours rendering time with 'Fine Art' anti-aliasing. Six terrains for the water, two latices for the wake in front of the ship. Enjoy, Noel

Very nice pirates. I look at and actually huddle in fear of pirates. Very realistic looking. Good job.

WOW!! The waves are amazing. The wood on the foreground might look better if it is darker, but not a big problem. Keep posting your images!! All of your images absoluty amaze me. -Adam

Absolutely wonderful. I love the waves.. I agree with adam about the wood in the foreground. Also, the rope in the foreground looks a little flat.. you might want to play with that as well. All in all, it's awesome. Rosh

I'm blown away by the waves. Amazing.

Just terrific. The waves are wonderful--great job. I see what they are saying about the rope. The 'bands' of the twisted rope should be at an angle to represent 'rope'. This looks too much like the texture is 'on top'. Minor detail, though G. Its such a wonderful image I hate to say anything--especially when I certainly can't do as good. Diane B

I agree that the rope looks flat - it didn't before I made the last lighting change (where I was paying attention to the shadows on the sail bump-maps), but with this long a render time - it is what it is. ;) I've been working with the Zygote Galleon all month, texturing it and all, and I've got all kinds of ideas about how to use it in scenes, so in later scenes (like closer shots) I'll pay more attention to ALL the details. ;) Thanks everyone. Noel

Well, your textures are grand. I used it 'as is' in my only sea pic I've done-LOL--your textures take it to a whole new level. The sail bumps you did are terrific, IMO. Diane

since it took so long rendering, why not use a painting program instead of rerendering to give the rope a more 3D look. If you don't have a painting program, e-mail me and I will try to add a shadow to your rope =) (afanton@mindspring.com) -Adam

I saw a rope obj. somewhere on a geocities site. a couple in fact. But lord, they were like 2 megs each, and the rope wasn't worth the downloading time to me. But it was for a neat looking hanging bridge, so I did think about it. I'd still like to know where everyone is getting this damn ship model lol

Its on the Zygote 101 Models for Bryce CD available, I guess, still from Zygote. Very good group of models. I originally bought it primarily for the furniture which I had been making by boolean methods, but these were much more esthetically pleasing than I could build that way. Also, lots and lots of other things. Diane B

Outstanding work Noel, this is an incredible job you did, the waves and spray are great, I love the rocked angle of the galleon also. FastTraxx

I wish someone would email me that dang galleon model. I'd like to use it, but I'm disabled. I can't spend any 100 bucks for the zygote collection.
